We are a Polish company founded in 1988. Originating from the photographic industry, today we primarily focus on providing innovative and comprehensive solutions in the field of inkjet printing technology.
The company’s development continuously takes into account the changing demands and transformations of the photo market. Through our activities, we strive to meet new challenges and customer expectations.
We achieve this goal by creating the possibility to choose from a wide range of products, especially printing consumables – our SOLUTION brand, of which we are the manufacturer, exporter, and exclusive representative. This brand already holds a well-established position in the European market and is appreciated by a wide group of users.
Key Moments
1988
Start as Foto-Falter – a small photographic wholesale company founded by Marek Piechowiak in Roth (Germany). It was a time of passion for imagery and the beginning of a vision to provide photographers with the best solutions.
1994
A breakthrough year! Exclusive representation of Konica in Poland and the development of a network of over 300 Konica PhotoExpress points. It was then that we began shaping the Polish consumer and professional photography market.
2002
A new direction – inkjet printing. We begin cooperation with EPSON, setting the course for the digital printing future.
2005
New headquarters in Pniewy – a symbol of growth and ambition. We expand our operations, cooperating with Mitsubishi Electric and creating our own brand Solution, to deliver complete and innovative solutions to our clients.
2006
Rebranding – Falter. A new name and logo emphasizing modernity and the international character of the company. A step towards a strong, recognizable brand.
2007
Launch of Solution photographic films – our contribution to preserving the tradition of analog photography
2008
We introduce Hahnemühle FineArt papers to Poland – the most prestigious brand for artists and photographers. From that moment, Falter becomes synonymous with quality in art printing.
2011
Our portfolio now includes Solution inks – pigment-based, professional, designed with demanding users in mind.
2013
Debut of Solution Fine Art papers – we focus on diversity and uniqueness so that every artist and photographer can find the ideal medium for their work.
2014
Partnership with the Japanese brand Awagami – unique artistic papers. At the same time, we develop the Solution Drylab segment, offering materials and inks for professional photo labs.
2016
We achieve the status of Authorized Canon Partner – proof of trust from the global leader in printing technology. This opens the door to a new scale of cooperation and further innovations.
2017
We launch a recycling program for used cartridges – environmental responsibility becomes an integral part of our business.
2018
We celebrate 30 years of Falter. Three decades of experience, challenges and successes – and still the same passion for imagery that has driven us from the very beginning.
2023
We become a Canon Gold Partner – the highest status confirming our competence and scale of operations. We are intensively developing the Solution Deco & POS line, offering media for eco-solvent, UV and HP Indigo printing. Today Falter is not only a supplier but a partner in creating modern visual communication.
